The Winds are a Changin

Hello readers!!!!

So I was doing my normal routine as of late:
Get up at the crack of dawn, go to work, eat unhealthy food for lunch, snack and drink soda, go home, take a nap until 6:30 when my cousin and her son comes home, then sit in the living room with my computer and surf the internet till bedtime and a lightbulb went off!!!

I have been struggling with my weight forever! Some times are better than others. There was a time that I had a 90 lb weight loss under my belt, but I gained some weight back due to minor depression. I was thinking to myself... I wish I had a community of people that I could share my woes of weight loss to, and a place where I can journal my journey. Then I was like... DUH! I'm a writer! I can blog about it!

Initially I was going to start a whole new blog about weight loss but because I was a genius when I created this blog, the name and goals on the right hand side totally allow me to incorporate this into my blog!!

I'm the girl who does everything... that includes being fit and skinny/healthy!!

So because of some past events that I will not share, I do not dance at that studio I was dancing at anymore. :( Which means a couple of things:

one: I don't want the drama so I don't think I'm going to join another dance studio.. also I'm leaving VT in 8 months and all the studios are working on their show pieces and I just don't want to do that.

two: I need to find a new outlet for my dancing! I have a tattoo on my body that says "to dance is to live" in spanish; if I were to quit dancing all together I would be hurting myself. Dance is my outlet and I will keep doing it despite things that have happened in my past. So maybe I'll just freestyle in my living room? we'll see.

three: I also no longer have a way to stay active. I used to dance 5 days a week last year... no wonder I was at a good weight!! But now I'm not doing anything. I need to join a gym or even pop in a video when I get home. ANYTHING!

So for tonight I decided to start a 30 day yoga challenge that is on youtube. (I'll post the link down below) and I'm going to promise to be 100% honest with you guys (if anyone is actually reading this. haha, I'd like to think I have somewhat of an audience). So as follows is the FIRST HEALTH POST!

DAY 1:
Weight: 260 lbs ( :(  ) - as a side note, I used to weight 300 lb so it could be worse I guess. I gained 30 lbs in 8 months... that sucks.

Exercise: Youtube 30 Day Yoga Challenge.
Calories Burned: 98
It's 20 minutes long essentially. It was kind of hard for me because I'm not flexible at all and my back is always tight. I think though that yoga will help me become more flexible and maybe even help my back issue. I just kept saying in my head "you don't have to be as good as the instructor! It's okay if you're not good at it at first, if you keep doing it you'll get the hang of it!"

Calorie Intake: 3,735
... holy moly god! What in the name of all that is food! I had NO IDEA that that is how bad I've been eating lately. That's horrible. I was just super honest with myself on myfitnesspal.com and I'm just like... wtf. I wish I had the money to go on Jenny Craig or some kind of system where I didn't even have to prepare my own food. That's the problem. I'm just so tired all the time, I don't have the energy to cook my meals or prepare anything. I tried to prepare my meals for the whole week but it's a hard routine to get into, especially when you get up at 5am and don't get home till 4:30pm. Ugh! Sometimes I wish I just didn't have to work haha.
But maybe when I get into this new fitness routine I will have the energy to prepare my meals more often. I'll get home from work and instead of napping for 2 hours, (which is ridiculous! Nice way to put yourself back into a depression idiot!) I'll work out for an hour, take a shower and then cook myself a dinner that is big enough for 2, so that I can have the left overs for lunch the next day. Then I can relax and blog, or read, watch youtube videos or something.

I'm doing this for real. It's not a "New Years Revolution", it's February 6, 2014 and I'm taking control of my weight once and for freaking all!

I'm signing off today. Here's for a better tomorrow!

Dance Up North- The Dancing is Cooler Here

I haven't written in A MINUTE!!
But on one hand my friends are doing great with their dancing. Remember a million years ago when I mentioned my dance family? Well, here they are! Choreography done by none other than the amazing Jessica Ashton, to two songs by Kid Ink/ Chris Brown and Kevin McCall. Ya'll should watch it, and then share it with your friends and then your friends can share it with their friends and so on.
That will be all.

SLENDER REACTION

Hey readers,

Life is busy, but I'm still making time to do my crazy things I do. Today I was on Facebook and somehow got talked into playing Slender and making a reaction video to it. What can I say? I give into peer pressure really easily.

Here it is, I hope you like it. I was pretty fricken scared. I really love playing video games, maybe I'll do more just for kicks.
Not making any promises though!

Peace Out Readers!

Bad Day

Dear Readers,

I'm having a terrible day.

Well it's not really terrible, it's just that I hate hanging around the house doing nothing and that's precisely what I'm doing. It's so beautiful outside but I'm stuck inside with my family, just watching TV. I'm just not cut out to be lazy, I need to constantly be doing something or I start to freak out. I know that that is a bad thing and I should probably make sure that there isn't something wrong with me, but for the time being that's how I feel. If I don't have my schedule chucked full of activities I have panic attacks. I don't know when this started but I have a feeling it stems from my senior year in high school. This is the first free say I've had in about three or four years and it scares me. That's probably not good is it?
I should start practicing my songs for the time being.
At least that will give me something to do.

That's it I guess. I just needed to get it out. I don't know why I'm like this, but I am.

oh well.

peace out readers

The Sims 4

Copyright @ EA Games

Readers!!!

The sims 4 is coming out next year guys! I saw the post while I was starting to play the third game on my computer. I love the third sims so much, how can they possibly make an even better one? I mean, when I played the original sims, I couldn't imagine a better game than that one. When they came out with The Sims 2, I freaking loved that game, especially when I was able to have yard sales and all that junk. Then the third sims came out and the fact that I could walk to my neighbors yard blew my mind, and that I got to watch them drive to places and I could eventually control how they worked- it was amazing.

What could The Sims 4 have that the Sims 3 doesn't?

Will we be able to see them at work no matter what? Dance on cars, sell stuff on the internet, climb trees, set stuff on fire, get into car accidents?? I don't know! I just can't freaking wait to find out more information and share it with you guys, I'm such a big fan on The Sims franchise, I hope they make this one crazy amazing good!

That's all for now readers. My big showcase is getting closer and closer and I can't wait for it!!!

Peace Out!

All You Can Eat!!!

Hello readers!

So recently I've been eating out more than I care to admit. I'm a horrible person Bla Bla Bla, who cares? Anyway, I couldn't help but notice a pattern when eating out at those special restaurants that offer a buffet. I thought I'd share my thoughts on the subject.

So "all you can eat buffets" were originally supposed to mean that instead of spending $10 on a steak and then $4 on a drink and side dish, you only spend like $8 on whatever you desire. Somehow, over space and time, us Americans came to the conclusion that "all you can buffets" are actually a secret contest on who can stuff more food in their face than everyone else. And the winner- is probably throwing up from food poisoning.

I just don't get it! Why do we feel you have to eat so much at these places? To get your money's worth? Does your money's worth include insulin for when you inevitably get diabetes and own a senior scooter in your thirties?

Now believe me, I am not saying I'm innocent of this by any means. I literally have been that person, looking around at the people around me to see if I had won the food stacking contest, and have in occasion won... have I been able to eat everything on my plate? No, because my stomach actually has a limit. But the gesture of wasting food is still there.

Okay my rant is over now. I hope you enjoyed it! I'm on my way to Pizza Hut now, they have a lunch buffet to die for!!!

Haha

Peace out readers!

Ps I heard a rumor that the sims company is coming up with a fourth one... Interesting.

And I wrote this blog on my iPhone so we will see how how many horrible words autocorrect puts in my post for me!

It's May

Hello Readers!

Well it's May, my favorite month of the year! I've started a new class at school and am getting ready for a crazy awesome dance show next month. June is going to be one crazy month! I have my dance show, my sister graduates, I'm performing at the Relay for Life! I have pretty much every weekend booked. Plus this month is going to be so busy with preparing for the month of June!

My head is already spinning out of control!

I know this post is lame but I just wanted to keep it updated and to let everyone know I was still alive. Nothing that great has happened to me lately. Someone might be letting me borrow their banjo though so that's pretty cool! I'm going to make covers of the songs I'm singing at the Relay and I'll post them when they are ready too.

Peace out readers! Enjoy the month of May because it's the best of them all!
