Dance Up North- The Dancing is Cooler Here

I haven't written in A MINUTE!!
But on one hand my friends are doing great with their dancing. Remember a million years ago when I mentioned my dance family? Well, here they are! Choreography done by none other than the amazing Jessica Ashton, to two songs by Kid Ink/ Chris Brown and Kevin McCall. Ya'll should watch it, and then share it with your friends and then your friends can share it with their friends and so on.
That will be all.

SLENDER REACTION

Hey readers,

Life is busy, but I'm still making time to do my crazy things I do. Today I was on Facebook and somehow got talked into playing Slender and making a reaction video to it. What can I say? I give into peer pressure really easily.

Here it is, I hope you like it. I was pretty fricken scared. I really love playing video games, maybe I'll do more just for kicks.
Not making any promises though!

Peace Out Readers!

Bad Day

Dear Readers,

I'm having a terrible day.

Well it's not really terrible, it's just that I hate hanging around the house doing nothing and that's precisely what I'm doing. It's so beautiful outside but I'm stuck inside with my family, just watching TV. I'm just not cut out to be lazy, I need to constantly be doing something or I start to freak out. I know that that is a bad thing and I should probably make sure that there isn't something wrong with me, but for the time being that's how I feel. If I don't have my schedule chucked full of activities I have panic attacks. I don't know when this started but I have a feeling it stems from my senior year in high school. This is the first free say I've had in about three or four years and it scares me. That's probably not good is it?
I should start practicing my songs for the time being.
At least that will give me something to do.

That's it I guess. I just needed to get it out. I don't know why I'm like this, but I am.

oh well.

peace out readers

The Sims 4

Copyright @ EA Games

Readers!!!

The sims 4 is coming out next year guys! I saw the post while I was starting to play the third game on my computer. I love the third sims so much, how can they possibly make an even better one? I mean, when I played the original sims, I couldn't imagine a better game than that one. When they came out with The Sims 2, I freaking loved that game, especially when I was able to have yard sales and all that junk. Then the third sims came out and the fact that I could walk to my neighbors yard blew my mind, and that I got to watch them drive to places and I could eventually control how they worked- it was amazing.

What could The Sims 4 have that the Sims 3 doesn't?

Will we be able to see them at work no matter what? Dance on cars, sell stuff on the internet, climb trees, set stuff on fire, get into car accidents?? I don't know! I just can't freaking wait to find out more information and share it with you guys, I'm such a big fan on The Sims franchise, I hope they make this one crazy amazing good!

That's all for now readers. My big showcase is getting closer and closer and I can't wait for it!!!

Peace Out!

All You Can Eat!!!

Hello readers!

So recently I've been eating out more than I care to admit. I'm a horrible person Bla Bla Bla, who cares? Anyway, I couldn't help but notice a pattern when eating out at those special restaurants that offer a buffet. I thought I'd share my thoughts on the subject.

So "all you can eat buffets" were originally supposed to mean that instead of spending $10 on a steak and then $4 on a drink and side dish, you only spend like $8 on whatever you desire. Somehow, over space and time, us Americans came to the conclusion that "all you can buffets" are actually a secret contest on who can stuff more food in their face than everyone else. And the winner- is probably throwing up from food poisoning.

I just don't get it! Why do we feel you have to eat so much at these places? To get your money's worth? Does your money's worth include insulin for when you inevitably get diabetes and own a senior scooter in your thirties?

Now believe me, I am not saying I'm innocent of this by any means. I literally have been that person, looking around at the people around me to see if I had won the food stacking contest, and have in occasion won... have I been able to eat everything on my plate? No, because my stomach actually has a limit. But the gesture of wasting food is still there.

Okay my rant is over now. I hope you enjoyed it! I'm on my way to Pizza Hut now, they have a lunch buffet to die for!!!

Haha

Peace out readers!
-patti cakes

Ps I heard a rumor that the sims company is coming up with a fourth one... Interesting.

And I wrote this blog on my iPhone so we will see how how many horrible words autocorrect puts in my post for me!

It's May

Hello Readers!

Well it's May, my favorite month of the year! I've started a new class at school and am getting ready for a crazy awesome dance show next month. June is going to be one crazy month! I have my dance show, my sister graduates, I'm performing at the Relay for Life! I have pretty much every weekend booked. Plus this month is going to be so busy with preparing for the month of June!

My head is already spinning out of control!

I know this post is lame but I just wanted to keep it updated and to let everyone know I was still alive. Nothing that great has happened to me lately. Someone might be letting me borrow their banjo though so that's pretty cool! I'm going to make covers of the songs I'm singing at the Relay and I'll post them when they are ready too.

Peace out readers! Enjoy the month of May because it's the best of them all!

I'm the Master at Flirting!!

Hey readers,

So, it's a Monday and I just finished a school assignment- know what that means?

I'm at Barnes and Noble!

Know what else?
There's a really attractive man sitting in front of me also studying for a college class. I'm just trying to act all cool right now, with my foot up on the chair in front of me, occasionally biting my lip, or smiling at the screen hoping he'll notice. He's got a Mac like me! With stickers all over the cover... also just like me. Boy! We have so much in common! He's also wearing sweatpants...
know who else owns sweatpants??
this girl!

If I was that brave girl who talked to every good looking guy that came her way this is what would happen right now:

He would be so dazed by my faces I make at my screen and the hastiness of my typing skills (100+ wpm), he would get up from his chair across the cafe and approach me.

"Hey, I couldn't help but notice we both have Macs!" He'd say.

"Hey what do you know?" I'd say with a wink.

"I also noticed you saw my sweatpants, I bet you own a pair too!"

I would lean back in my chair and stretch my hands behind my head "Why yes I do. They are terribly comfortable, and great for hip hop dancing."

"You're a dancer? No way! So am I!" He'd say while sitting in the opposite chair at my table.

Then we would have a beautiful conversation, we would exchange numbers, text all night, take me out on several dates and then 2 years later propose to me at this very cafe.

*    *    *

Wow, I'm a serious creeper. No, I don't actually flirt like that... I'm not that much of a mess.

Do you want to know what actually happened?

This is real life in Patti's World:

I was sitting at this very table finishing up my assignment for school, when this rather attractive man sat himself in a seat a couple of tables away from me and took out his calculator and text book. I tried to act cool and tried not to glance at him too much, but I couldn't help it. His red sweatpants and black long-sleeved shirt was working on him! He set up his Macbook and put his headphones on, while I pretended to type some words on my Powerpoint.

I also realized that I still had my plate and empty water bottle sitting on my table and that he was in the direct path of the trash can. *sigh - this is embarrassing.
So I got up, and the spaces between tables are pretty small in this cafe, and I proceeded to throw out my trash...
I didn't even make it passed my table.

I tripped over the chair infront of me and managed to save the plate from breaking before landing on my butt... right in front of him. He looked up from his computer briefly and took his headphones off his beautiful head and asked "Woah, are you okay?"

I got up hastily and said, "Yeah." with an flirtatious eye roll (if there is even such thing), got up put my plate on the trash can and my water bottle in recycling and slowly made it back to my chair.

I know, my cool factor is just too high for all of you right now!

On the plus side, he has glanced at me and smiled while shaking his head twice now.

Is that a good thing?

No, I'm sure he'll go back to his dorm and tell his roommates about this chick that landed on the floor while passing him at the cafe. I'll be a funny story to tell, and that's the only part that I'll ever have in his hopefully long life.

That my readers, is how it happens in my life. It's okay, I'm used to it now. I just laugh it off... but just one time, I would like to charm the crap out of someone without falling to my doom because of my clumsiness.

That's all for now.

Peace Out Readers!

Task 1: Not saying the F word

Well readers... I tried

I don't know why I thought this was going to be an easy task. Literally this is what happened to me while I was trying to not say the F word:

-Stubbed my toes various amounts of times.
-Played a very hard video game... Banjo and Kazooie. Banjo was just being such an a-hole, I had to call him out.
-Ran over a deer and almost hit my friends brand new car on the highway.
-Got into a fight with one of my "friends", (different from the friend I almost ran over)

All those things are pretty much the reason this post is happening on a Saturday and not a Thursday like it usually is. I've had a pretty horrid week, I mean it could've been a lot worse but it still sucked.

So that mission was FAILED. But evaluating how the F word is used in my life, I think that it's healthy to say it once in a while. Sometimes you get so frustrated, and there just isn't anything else out there that is as satisfying as cursing an inanimate object out... like Banjo, or that deer I obliterated.

So I'm onto the next task. Stop drinking soda.
This is actually great because being on break from my dance classes, I have gained a little bit of weight because I haven't been as active as usual. This week should take care of that!

If I'm being honest with you readers, I really want to lose another 50 pounds because I would like to work at an amusement park while I'm in college and would love to be a character walking around giving kids high fives. Plus I'm going to live in the sunshine, it would be so nice to be able to go to the beach and love life, instead of worrying if people are watching my big ass. I mean I've lost more than that already, the next 50 pounds should be nothing!

That's my task for next week, let's see how I do and how I feel after. I have a feeling this is going to be my favorite task yet!

I have to work on some homework now, it's been a long week and haven't accomplished too much!

Peace Out Readers!

Wacky Wednesday: My favorite Youtube Channels

I'm not going to lie readers, I forgot that today was even Wednesday.

In my own personal life, I'm starting to get excited about my big move that is coming up because I'll be moving to Florida in a couple of months and I'm sad and super excited at the same time! (woo hoo!)

We can talk about that later though. Now to focus on something more important:
Wacky Wednesday!!!

I'm a pretty avid youtube watcher, I probably watch youtube more than regular TV. I spend most of my time searching around, going through crappy channels to amazing and wonderful channels. I'll admit, I'm that dorky gal that will subscribe to someone if they don't have any subscribers because I feel bad once in a while. But I have my favorites and they are all (in my humble opinion) hilariously amazing!

Note: it took me a while to finally publish this because I couldn't peel myself away from Slender reaction videos. If you're ever bored and would enjoy watching people pee their pants, I say you should search it sometime. Sometimes I even get scared and I have never played, and I never will.

Here are my top nine favorite favorite Wacky Youtube Channels:

(I made it so that if you click on their name it will direct you to their channel... you're welcome!)

A really entertaining youtuber that I've been subscribed to since 2009, he got me with his "how to be gangster" and all of a sudden I couldn't stop watching him. He is still making hilarious videos and has over 8,000,000 subscribers. His videos consist of answering fan questions, hilarious sketches and a couple "how to's". If you watch him you wont be disappointed.

This funny gal posts videos every single day, hence the name "dailygrace". Her sarcastic sense of humor has earned her more than a million subscribers. Her videos mostly consist of her telling stories and communicating with her fans by doing thing they suggest for her to do in her videos. A very simple equation for a maximum amount of humor. I discovered her because she was guest starring on a different channel, I thought she was hilarious and I immediately subscribed.

I am proud to say that I've watched every single video of = 3 because I've been subscribed ever since Ray first started making his videos in 2009. I'm not positive but I'm pretty sure he was popular before then though on a different site because in the first episode of =3 on Youtube he talks about the millions of views he's had. (so maybe I haven't seen all of them! :O) Let me tell you though! If I ever had the need to get a host for some kind of show, this man would be my first pick! He really knows how to get his audience engaged. In his videos, =3, he always picks 3 viral videos to talk about. It's kind of like a modern version of America's Funniest Home Videos, except it's cooler. Like waaaaay cooler. Trust me. Watch it!

PS raywilliamjohnson totally follows me on twitter... I mean he follows a lot of people, but I still feel special.

The Fine Bros have a wide variety of videos from cartoons to "spoiler alert's", but by far my favorite videos that they make are the react videos. Their react videos consist of, Kids React, Teens React, Elders React and their newest, Youtubers React. They are all very entertaining and can be either really hilarious or really sad (Teens React to Bullying (Amanda Todd) ), yet they are all very enlightening. What they do is sit these kids, teens, elders or youtubers down and make them watch a series of videos and we watch them react to them. After the videos are over The Fine Bros who are behind the camera ask them questions. Don't take my word for it, watch them for yourself. It's really fun to watch, and I discovered some really great youtubers because of this show.

5. Swoozie

I'm almost ashamed to say that I discovered this man while watching one of the "Youtubers React" videos. I should've known who he was back in the dinosaur MySpace days, but I didn't, and somehow I'll have to live with myself and my non-internet savvy ways now. (Just kidding, I'm only human what can you expect?) Adande's videos consist of hilarious cartoons and vlogs that are all dramatized true life events. I love them!!! I wish he had enough time to put out a video every other day because I would be on youtube watching them. I mean, I watch all of them already, but I WANT MORRREEE!! Even his old stuff was really good! This man can tell a story, and he has lots to tell! Please for the love of God, check this beautiful channel out!

This crazy mofo has so many channels! But his main channel is ShaneDawsonTV. This man will make your stomach hurt from laughing so hard. He has such a fun personality and really knows how to get his viewers attention. He never fails to come up with more entertaining videos. His other channels include his daily-ish vlog: Shane, along with his other channel: ShaneDawsonTV2. I have been following him since 2010, but he's been making videos since way before then. He dresses up as women, writes songs, makes sploofs about viral videos or famous people, sometimes you'll even see him on the toilet. Most of all, I find him a very genuine person who really cares about his fans. I love that he is so honest and real in his videos. Who cares that he says the F word, I do all the time!!

**Spoiler Alert** yeah not saying the F word has been a struggle

3. JennaMarbles

Jenna Marbles! If you haven't heard of her your probably haven't heard of YouTube either and therefore are very bored and/or confused by my entire blog post. This girl is the best thing that ever happened to YouTube. I think what makes her so incredible is the fact that she is fearless about what she posts, whatever she wants to talk about, she talks about and usually it's just phenomenal. I discovered her because my best friend Kit told me she found someone on youtube who acts just like her, and I have to agree. It's very possible that I personally watch Jenna because she reminds me of my best friend (who lives states and states away from me *sad face*), but even so, she is the most subscribed female channel.  I find her very genuine and ever since I watched her "Draw My Life" video, I've had the suspicion that she's going through a hard time right now and it makes me sad because she's such a wonderful person. I wish I knew her because I feel like we would get along. Ya'll better watch her videos!

2. IanH

I never thought watching two best friends eat fast food every week wold be so entertaining but with these two, it is! On IanH, best friends and Youtube sensations Ian Hecox and Anthony Padilla, post goofy/thrilling videos in playlists such as "Lunchtime w/ Smosh", "Ian Is Bored" and "Smosh Pit Weekly. In "Ian is Bored", they take the time to open all of their fanmail (which is unsurprisingly a buch of bad drawings and creepy clippings of hair) but they make it hilarious.

1. Smosh

Here it is guys! My personal favorite numero uno channel on YouTube. I enjoy this channel so much I pretty much broke the rules and made them 1 and 2. That's right, it's Ian and Anthony again on their main channel Smosh. This channel has truly passed the YouTube test of time, Smosh has been successfully making popular YouTube videos since 2005. I actually remember seeing their Mortal Kombat Theme on MySpace! This duo has been working hard at bringing you hilarious sketches such as "Boxman", "That Damn Neighbor"and their Epic "Food Battles"! Not only do they have loads of YouTube channels, but they also have a website, www.smosh.com and they even created a game app for the iPod and iPhone: Super Smosh Esploder X. I own it and love it!

So readers, that concludes Wacky Wednesday! I hope the rest of your Wednesday is a wacky one!

I'll be here tomorrow!

Seriously contemplating the YouTube channel still. YouTube and I are like... friends right? I mean what if I start to get serious with YouTube and it's amazing for a while, but then things start to falter and we break up? Could we still be friends? I don't know!!

Peace out readers!
PS- I left my hair all crazy just for Wacky Wednesday... you're welcome.

REVIEW FRIDAY: Candy Crush

Hello Readers!
It's Review Friday!

So I was originally going to do a review on the Sims 3 University Life, but then I got distracted and started to play Candy Crush and it consumed a whole hour of my life trying to just beat level 25. It made me do the thing I always said I would never do... I bought facebook credits. (shame)

Then I realized I should be doing a review on the game that has become my life, and many other peoples lives as well. Yet calling this a review is too formal, this game and I have gone through a lot together-  we are waaay passed formalities, this is more of a personal testimony with this jaw clenching game.

It all started when I went to visit my friend at her college in Maine. Her roommates kept to their rooms on their computers the whole time and kept saying "I'll do my homework in 5 minutes. I just need to beat this level." and "We can go to lunch after I play Candy Crush a little bit more." It wasn't until after brunch that they asked me if I wanted to join them in the fight that is all crushing candy! I was like "sure why not." I wasn't doing anything else anyway, just browsing through my songs on Spotify. So I logged into facebook and started to play this seemingly easy game.

My whole life changed that day.

All of a sudden the levels started to get harder and harder, I started to fail a couple of them. I retried and retried, LEVEL 17!!! I couldn't get passed that for days. I stayed up till 3AM trying to clear all the effing jelly. I downloaded it on my iPhone and would play it every moment I got... while I was waiting for dance class, while I was skyping with my friends, at the dinner table, at red lights!

okay not at red lights

I came to find that more of my friends had gotten bitten by the candy crush bug before even I had and were just as equally obsessed. One of my friends in particular has been recruiting people or better yet SOLDIERS to fight in this epic battle of candy crushing!

I guess by taking the time to write this review, I am also doing the same as her. Join us! We can get through this together!

With all jokes aside, it is actually a very bejeweled-esque thrilling game that is more challenging and fun then any other item-matching game I've ever played. Hint: If you play it on facebook, you can get your friends to give you extra lives and other wonderful gadgets. If you want to play it just for kicks you can play on www.king.com or you can download the app for your iPhone or iPod here: iTunes Candy Crush.

Now let me warn you... you WILL get addicted!

Happy Gaming!

This is what 21 looks like

Hello readers!

It's 9:43 am right now as I'm still sitting here in bed just goofing around on the internet. What the hell? I used to have to get up at 5 am every morning for work and now I'm just getting lazy! My new sleeping pattern is literally ruining my life. I will go to sleep at 3am in the morning and not wake up until - never. If I didn't have someone knocking on my door telling me it's time to get up  (that would be my lovely ghost btw) then I would NEVER get up ever!

.. just kidding about the ghost guys...

sorta

Kids, this is what 21 looks like. You might think it means partying until 6 am and then sleeping all day or going to work hungover, NO! It's just laying in bed, no booze except for the dirty internet filled with encouraging laziness like youtube stars and collegehumor.com (that's a really awesome site btw, I love Jake and Amir #priceless!! ) I remember what it used to be like to be outside, where the oxygen is... those were the good old days. I mean, I went outside for a couple of minutes to put gas in my car this morning, but then I drove back home and proceeded to go back to bed. -this is a problem!

This is the part where I tell you about what my plan is for the week and to see if I can handle it.

HERE IT IS GUYS!!

I'm starting this new thing where I try to break a bad habit for a week. If by the end of the week I like how I feel because I stopped doing said habit I will keep not doing it, if I don't feel any different then I will proceed in doing that bad habit.

If you have any suggestions for bad habits that most people need to stop doing, leave a comment or let me know on twitter or facebook. This is what I have so far:

Week 1: Stop saying the F word. - I would say stop swearing all together... but lets face it, that's not going to happen with the way Vermonters drive.

Week 2: Stop drinking soda. - Rumor has it that it's bad for you... weird right?

Week 3: Stop Sleeping-in so late. - There is really no need to explain this one, seeing as I wrote a whole diatribe about it above.

Week 4: Stop skipping meals. - I don't know why I do this, mostly by accident because I get busy, so maybe I'll put an alarm on my ipod to remind me that my body needs FOOD!

And that's all I have so far. I don't really need to put stuff like... "go to the gym" because guys- I dance like 5 hours a day and even the days I'm not at the dance studio, I'm dancing in my kitchen while I do the dishes. Maybe I'll make one about finally learning about how to use a damn comma.

I'll keep you updated! I promise!

Till next time!
... I'm going back to sleep.

I did a lot!

Shroo! I haven't written in over a year! I think I need to make it easier on myself and instead of having a daily blog, to have a weekly blog instead. Daily blogs are too hard to keep up with when you have such a busy life!

Since the last time I wrote, this is what has happened to my appearance:

I donated 12 inches on my hair!

I pierced my nose!

I got a tattoo!

I lost weight!
Not sure exactly how much, I don't want to do the math and psych myself out.
So readers, I have been thinking very seriously about making a youtube channel. I'm just worried that I wont have time to do it. I already have a youtube channel, but I only made it so I could upload a video of me singing at a competition so my grandparents could see it, and also so I could comment on other videos.

While I'm contemplating on that, I'm going to catch you up on what is happening with me and my life. Right at this very moment in time I'm getting ready for 2013 Relay for Life! So far I've raised $200 and I hope to raise $1000 but we'll see if I am able or not. I don't really know that many people, and I'm doing it with my dance family and I would normally hit all of them up but they are trying to raise money too so obviously that doesn't work.

Next is that I am currently attending this amazing college: Full Sail University. I love it! I'm going for writing and I'm taking online classes but it's kind of hard but I think I will be okay. This also means that I'm moving in the summer to Florida. Let me tell you one thing. If I'm going to write a weekly blog then you will probably hear about my trials about me moving away from my hometown for the first time. I just have so many friends and family that I don't want to leave and I'm going to dedicate a couple of posts just for them in the future.

That pretty much sums it all up for me! I'll try to write tomorrow and do something crazy. I'm still working on my bucket list but it takes a long time to complete something like that you know?

For now this is me signing off,
